At the end of the main road, after Sant Ferran and Es Calo is El Pilar de la Mola, the farest town and located at the highest point of the island, about 12 kilometers from the port of La Savina.
It is said that this is one of the quietest villages due to the distance, it is not so visited by tourists and there are relatively few shops and restaurants.
Its main attraction is the hippy market, held twice a week which attracts many people.
Another attraction of this small town is La Mola lighthouse, situated on the cliffs, from which you can watch wonderful sunsets and enjoy the solitude of the place. It is certainly remarkable that Jules Verne was inspired by this lighthouse for his work "Hector Servadac", where we can find a monolith in memory of the great French novelist.
